Why am I running?
After a decade of service on the Plymouth Planning Commission, including time as Vice Chair, I saw firsthand the importance of thoughtful leadership in shaping our community. When my tenure concluded, I knew my work wasn’t done. Running for City Commissioner is a natural next step, bringing the perspective of both a long-serving public official and a small business owner. As President of Hartsilvers Architecture & Design, I also understand how to balance vision with execution, meet goals, and deliver results.
That experience is exactly what Plymouth needs.
I’ve never been afraid to speak my mind while serving on the Planning Commission board, as it’s my duty to the Citizens of Plymouth to put their interests first.
I believe the Citizens of Plymouth deserve a commissioner who will listen to them and bring forth their concerns instead of ignoring them.
What are my top three priorities if elected?
Transparency in local government that ensures open communication, accessible decision-making, and accountable leadership that earns public trust. People want to know they are being heard.
Protecting Plymouth’s unique character by advocating for policies that preserve the city's charm, history, and livability, balancing growth with the values that make Plymouth truly special. It’s why we choose to live here.
Smart Budgeting for city projects by committing to responsible fiscal management—tackling deferred costs and funding initiatives in ways that serve residents wisely today and into the future. We need to do better.
What are some issues facing Plymouth that aren’t on residents’ radar but should be?
Proliferation of unnecessary planned use developments (Stop the PUD), that in exchange for a quick buck, threaten to unravel the uniquely rare character of Plymouth that we all enjoy and want to preserve. Don’t take the bait.
Small communities like Plymouth face the same demands as larger cities—delivering vital services like public safety, recreation, and infrastructure—but with far fewer resources. That’s why improving communication and coordination with nearby communities is essential. By sharing services and leveraging economies of scale, we can reduce costs, improve efficiency, and create the flexibility to pursue other priorities that strengthen Plymouth’s future.
